Finrun 0.5 terms of use
Last updated September 13, 2026. Maintained by Chao Ma.
These usage terms cover the Finrun 0.5 local-execution plugin, including 0.5.0-preview.1 and 0.5.0-preview.2. They adapt the existing Finrun website terms to this release.
Purpose and limitations
Finrun provides financial-research workflows, source records, data-processing helpers and generated artifacts. Neither the software nor its outputs are personalized investment, legal, tax or accounting advice, or an offer to buy or sell securities.
Generated work can contain errors, omissions, stale figures and unsupported conclusions. Validation checks help identify certain problems; they do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, investment performance or suitability for your circumstances. Verify important claims against original sources and seek qualified advice where appropriate.
Your agent and data access
You are responsible for choosing the task, reviewing results and authorizing access to files, models and external sources. Your agent provider's terms and costs apply separately. Installing Finrun does not grant subscriptions, credentials, redistribution rights or permission to bypass source access controls.
Release scope
Version 0.5 provides one Finrun skill, including Radar topic discovery, local helpers, a versioned public GitHub method catalog and validation. It requires a compatible local agent, Python 3.10+, a writable workspace and source access. It does not provide a brokerage, trading execution, managed portfolio, hosted MCP endpoint or automatically enabled schedule. This plugin does not collect payments. Availability in a public plugin directory depends on that host's review and publication process.
Source code and third-party materials
Third-party skills and libraries retain their own licenses and notices. Consult the distributed package and source repository for applicable notices. These terms do not replace those licenses or grant rights to third-party financial data, trademarks or source documents. No new first-party open-source license is granted by this page.
Responsible use
Use the tools only with information and services you are authorized to access. Do not remove source attribution or present estimates and generated inferences as reported facts. Obtain permission before publishing confidential material or sending research on someone else's behalf.
Availability and support
This is an early release; functionality and source availability may change. Saved reports are dated snapshots, not a promise of ongoing updates. For bugs and questions, use the support instructions. Information handling is described in the privacy notice.
